HELENSVILLE DISTRICT SCHEME APPROVED

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, for the Borough of Helensville was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 4th day of July 1963, after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed and all amendments of the district scheme required by the Board had been incorporated.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 15th day of July 1963.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and in every public library in the district and may be inspected without fee by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

BOROUGH OF ASHBURTON

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the following variations to the district scheme, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, for the Borough of Ashburton, was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 1st day of July 1963.

The variations aforementioned are as follows:

(a) Town Sections 200, 201, and parts Town Sections 202, and 203, Burnett and Park Streets, at present zoned Residential “A”, and proposed to be rezoned to Residential “B”, and

(b) An amendment to the Code of Ordinances Clause 10 (6) reducing the total minimum width of entranceways to up to two rear lots from 13 ft 4 in. to 12 ft.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme come into operation on the 15th day of July 1963.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and in the Ashburton Public Library, and may be inspected without fee by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

BOROUGH OF TUAKAU

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Changes to the Borough of Tuakau District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned changes to the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the Borough of Tuakau were approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 5th day of June 1963.

The Council has also resolved that the under-mentioned changes to the district scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of July 1963.

Copies of the scheme changes as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office, George Street, Tuakau, and may be inspected without fee by any person who so requires at any time when the office is open to the public.

SCHEDULE

  1. Code Amendment: Ordinance No. 9, Residential A.
  2. Map Amendment: Dominion Road.
  3. Map Amendment: West Street.

Changes to the Borough of Tuakau Operative District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned changes to the operative district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the Borough of Tuakau were approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 3rd day of July 1963.

The Council has also resolved that the changes to the district scheme in the Schedule hereto shall come into operation on 24 July 1963.

Copies of the scheme changes as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office, 70 George Street, Tuakau, and may be inspected without fee by any person who so requires at any time when the office is open to the public.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

An Act to amend the provisions of the Auckland Gas Company’s Act 1871.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland Gas Co. Ltd. (hereinafter called “the company”) intends to apply for leave to bring into the House of Representatives, during the present session of Parliament, a Private Bill the short title of which is the Auckland Gas Company Amendment Act 1963.

The objects of the proposed Bill are to add a definition of the term “gas” to provide that the term “gas” shall include natural gas and to extend the definition of the expression “Resident Magistrate” to include a Stipendiary Magistrate; to increase the penalties provided by the principal Act to amounts more appropriate to present circumstances; to add a provision that the imposition of a penalty under section 25 of the principal Act shall not prevent the company from recovering the value of any gas wasted or lost or from recovering at law any other sum or sums which apart from that section it would have been entitled to recover; to add to section 35 of the principal Act a provision that the bylaws and regulations made under that section shall not be repugnant not only to the principal Act or to the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 but also to the Counties Act 1956; to repeal section 41 of and the Schedule to the principal Act dealing with the form of a conviction for any offence under the principal Act as being no longer appropriate; and to extend the limits of the principal Act to include the City of Auckland and the area within a radius of twelve and one-half miles from a centre at the Post Office, Jean Batten Place, Auckland in place of the present limit of the City of Auckland and such parts of the suburbs and vicinity thereof as lie within a radius of ten miles from a centre at the Post Office, Shortland Street, Auckland.

The Bill is promoted by the company, whose address to which communications or notices may be sent is at the offices of Messrs Buddle, Weir, and Co., Solicitors, Fourth Floor, A.M.P. Building, Queen Street, Auckland.

A copy of the proposed Bill may be inspected at the above-mentioned address.
