RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Mokauiti Hydro-electric Generation Additional Loan 1963, £35,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wairere Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £35,000, known as the Mokauiti Hydro-electric Generation Additional Loan 1963, and authorised to be raised by the Wairere Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing hydro-electric works under construction, the said Wairere Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings (¾d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Wairere Electric Power District and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at the meeting of the Wairere Electric Power Board held on Thursday, 20 June 1963.

DEVONPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Land Acquisition Additional Loan 1963—£2,100
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Devonport Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,100 (two thousand one hundred pounds) authorised to be raised by the Devonport Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of acquiring land for the purposes of the Borough of Devonport District Scheme, the said Devonport Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·018d. (decimal nought one eight of a penny) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Devonport comprising the whole of the Borough of Devonport, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of not more than 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Devonport Borough Council on the 19th day of June 1963.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Loan 1953—£100,000
Fifth and Final Portion, £25,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, the Blenheim Borough Council doth hereby resolve as follows:
“That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) being the fifth and final portion of the Waterworks Loan 1953, £100,000, authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of renewing the spiral steel mains of the Borough Water Supply Reticulation System and for providing works and expenses incidental thereto, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and thirty-six one thousandths of a penny (0·136d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of the said loan being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the said loan is fully paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the above loan.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 26th day of June 1963.

CONSOLIDATION OF SPECIAL RATES

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Napier City Council held on 27 May 1963, the following resolution was passed:
“In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as enacted by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, the Napier City Council hereby resolves by way of special order that instead of levying the special rates specified in the Schedule hereto, the Council do make a rate of three decimal two six seven two pence (3·2672d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the city of Napier and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate and may be levied in whole or in part year by year without further proceedings by the Council and shall be payable yearly in one sum on the first day in August in each year and every year.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as enacted by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Pukekohe Borough Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, that instead of levying the special rates specified in the Schedule hereto, a uniformed consolidated special rate of two decimal six four seven pence (2·647d.) in the pound (£) on all rateable property within the Borough of Pukekohe be and the same is hereby made an annually recurring rate for the purpose of paying the annual charges plus 10 per cent
