WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction
and formation of a public street passing through the several
parcels of land referred to in the Schedule hereto and situated
in the Borough of Whangarei; and for the purpose of such
public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken.

Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
Town Clerk to the said Council situated in Bank Street,
Whangarei, and is open for public inspection, without fee,
by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or by the
taking of such land who have any well grounded objection
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking
of the said land must state their objections in writing and send
the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of
this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers,
Municipal Building, Bank Street, Whangarei.

SCHEDULE

All that piece of land containing 22:6 perches, more or less
being lots 20 and 21 D.P. 37077, being part of allotment 1,
Whangarei Parish, and being the land contained in certificates
of title, Volume 1119, folio 68, and Volume 1091, folio 237.
The land is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 44139
and thereon coloured yellow and blue respectively.

BOROUGH OF TUAKAU

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Tuakau Borough
Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred
under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Rating
Act 1925 and all other powers vested in it in that behalf,
intends, at an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held
in the Council Chambers, Memorial Town Hall, Tuakau, on
Wednesday, the 3rd day of July 1963, to make and levy the
following rates for the year commencing on the 1st day of
April 1963 and ending on the 31st day of March 1964.

  1. A general rate of twelve decimal five pence (12:5d.) in
    the pound (£1) upon the unimproved value of all rateable
    property.

  2. A special consolidated rate of five pence (5d.) in the
    pound (£1) on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable
    property in the special rate being in lieu of: Drainage Loan
    1958, 3:937d., Drainage Additional Loan (No. 1) 1961, 0:846d.,
    Drainage Additional Loan (No. 2) 1962, 0:217d.

The above rates shall be due and payable on the 16th day
of July 1963 at the office of the Town Clerk and Rate
Collector, Memorial Town Hall, 70 George Street, Tuakau.

The estimates upon which the foregoing rates are being
struck have been approved by the Council and are, together
with the valuation roll and rate book, open for inspection
at the Council's Office, George Street, Tuakau, during office
hours.

If any of the above rates remain unpaid at the expiration of
six months and 14 days from the date of demand thereof a
penalty of 10 per cent will be added thereto.

NELSON CATCHMENT BOARD

In the matter of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control
Act 1941, and in the matter of the Public Works Act
1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Nelson Catchment Board
proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work namely river control work
on the Motueka River and for the purposes of such public
work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required
to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan

of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public
office of the Board situate at No. 290 Trafalgar Street,
Nelson, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons
during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the
execution of the said public work or by the taking of such
lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution
of the said public work or the taking of the said lands must
state their objections in writing and send the same within
40 days from the first publication of this notice to the
Secretary of the Board at its offices, No 290 Trafalgar Street,
Nelson.
