WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION RAISING LOAN AND PLEDGING SPECIAL RATE
Staff Housing Loan 1962, £3,500
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That the Council proceed to raise from the National Provident Fund a loan of £3,500 as authorised by an Order in Council appearing in the Gazette, No. 8, dated the 7th day of February 1963, at page 144, such loan being known at the Staff Housing Loan 1962, and being for the purpose of providing a staff house in the Borough of Waipawa; that the term of the said loan shall be 25 years from the 15th day of March 1963; that the rate of interest payable in respect of the said loan shall be 5⅜ per cent per annum; that the security for the principal, interest, and other charges and for the repayment of the said loan shall be an annually recurring special rate of one-third of a penny (⅓d.) in the pound (£) made and levied upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Waipawa; and that the common seal of the Council be affixed to a single debenture securing to the National Provident Fund repayment of the said loan of £3,500, with interest thereon at the rate of 5⅜ per centum per annum by fifty (50) equal half-yearly instalments of £128 1s. 5d. each payable on the 15th day of September and March in each and every year during the currency of such debentures, the first of such instalments being due and payable on the 15th day of September 1963 and the last of such instalments being due and payable on the 15th day of March 1988.”

MATAURA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mataura Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Mataura Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for completing the improvements to the borough water supply, the said Mataura Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought point nought nine four one pence (0·0941d.) upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Mataura; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £35,000 authorised to be raised by the Mataura Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for making improvements to the borough water supply, the Mataura Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought point two one nine six pence (0·2196d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mataura; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waikiwi Loan (No. 1) 1962, £150,000 – Second Issue of £80,000
“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £80,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying water and drainage to the Waikiwi, Grasmere, and Collingwood areas of the city, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one four two pence (0·142d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 10th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £150,000, authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting part of the estimated cost of constructing a reservoir and pumping station at Waikiwi, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two six five pence (0·265d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the special rate shall be payable on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TE AWAMUTU BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1963
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Te Awamutu Borough Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of £4,250 authorised to be raised under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of six pensioners’ flats, the said Te Awamutu Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·05d. (five-hundredths of a penny) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Te Awamutu; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £70,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing and expanding the waterworks, drainage, and street systems of the city, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one two four pence (0·124d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 10th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
