MANAWATU CATCHMENT BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR PURPOSE OF SOIL CONSERVATION AND RIVER CONTROL

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments and in the matter of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and its amendments.

Notice is hereby given that the Manawatu Catchment Board intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, those pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of soil conservation and river control, as provided by the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, including the planting and layering of willows to establish protected channel alignment, the exclusion of stock, the control of shingle deposits as shall from time to time be necessary to maintain the channel of the Waikanae River, the control of its berm lands, and the maintenance and protection of existing works. The plan of the said land is deposited at the public office of the Waikanae County Town Council, Waikanae, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary, Manawatu Catchment Board, 541 Ruahine Street, Palmerston North.

HENDERSON BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Henderson District Scheme—Proposed Change

Public notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Council on the 22nd day of May 1963, the Council has recommended that the operative district scheme be changed in respect of the matter listed in the Schedule hereto.

The change has been deposited in the office of the Henderson Borough Council, Thomas Street, Henderson, and is there open for inspection, without fee, at any time when the office is open to the public.

Objections to the proposed change may be made by way of written notice marked “Objections to Scheme Change” and lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 22nd day of July 1963 on the appropriate form for use of objections available from the Council office.

At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection. Any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will then be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
