COUNTY OF HOROWHENUA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act 1956 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendments, and the Rural Housing Act 1939 and amendments, and regulations thereunder, and all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two five four of a penny (0·0254d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Horowhenua; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Egmont County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by Egmont County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of building pensioners’ flats in Opunake, the said Egmont County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·034453 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Egmont; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Egmont County Council held on the 14th day of May 1963.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Wellington City Libraries Loan 1963 of £55,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifty-five thousand pounds (£55,000), to be known as the Wellington City Libraries Loan 1963 of £55,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of rearranging shelving and other works in the main library, erecting new library buildings at Johnsonville and Karori, and purchasing a mobile library trailer, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of twenty-four one-thousandths of a penny (0·024d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 15th day of May 1963.

DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Drainage Works Loan 1963 of £250,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £250,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the cost of drainage and sewerage works in the Board’s district, provision of pumping plant, the West Harbour drainage scheme, and other drainage works, the said Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby makes a special rate of 0·236d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Board’s district, comprising the City of Dunedin and the Borough of St. Kilda; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CITY OF DUNEDIN

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Electricity Development Loan 1963 of £350,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £350,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and improving the Dunedin City Council’s electricity distribution system, the Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·337d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Tokoroa Sewerage Loan (No. 2) 1962, £110,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £110,000 authorised to be raised by the Matamata County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing stage II of the sewage treatment works and extending sewerage reticulation in the town of Tokoroa, the said Matamata County Council hereby makes a special rate of two decimal nine pence (2·9d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Tokoroa Sewerage Special-rating Area, comprising the district described in the special roll prepared in accordance with Part II of the Local Authorities Loans Regulations 1957/28; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Matamata County Council held on the 16th day of May 1963.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
Notice is hereby given that the Piako County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited at the Morrinsville Borough Council Chambers, Canada Street, Morrinsville, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of this public work or by the taking of such lands who may have any well-grounded objection to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands must set forth their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Piako County Council, Kenrick Street, Te Aroha.
