RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Crematorium Redemption Loan 1963, £19,300

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of nineteen thousand three hundred pounds (£19,300) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Crematorium Loan 1951 of £32,160 which matures on the 24th day of July 1963, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of thirty-nine thousandths of a penny (0·039d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council on the 22nd day of April 1963.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of forty-six thousand seven hundred pounds (£46,700), to be known as the Western Springs Stadium Loan 1962, £46,700, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of reinstating a portion of the terraces at Western Springs Stadium and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two twenty-thirds of one penny (²/₂₃ of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of thirty thousand five hundred pounds (£30,500), to be known as the Municipal Abattoir Loan 1962, £30,500, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of constructing stock pens at the Municipal Abattoir and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth of one penny (¹/₂₀ of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of forty-three thousand five hundred pounds (£43,500), to be known as the Redemption Loan (No. 5) 1963, £43,500, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the North Western Outlet Loan 1951, £50,400, and the Parks Loan 1953, £18,000, which mature on the 7th day of May 1963, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three twenty-fifths of one penny (³/₂₅ of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorised to be raised by the Franklin County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought seven eight pence (0·078d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Franklin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be repayable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Franklin County Council held on the 29th day of April 1963.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 22 of the Public Works Act 1928, by the body corporate known as the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Te Puke, that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a proposed public work, namely, a public street, and the land described in the Second Schedule is required to be taken for a public pound.

A plan of the said proposed public works has been deposited at the Te Puke Borough Council Chambers, and is available for inspection at any time during normal office hours.

All interested or affected persons are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Clerk of the Te Puke Borough Council aforesaid within 40 days from the 7th day of May 1963, being the date of the first publication of this notice.

FIRST SCHEDULE

8·9 perches, more or less, being part Section 1 of Block IX, Village of Atuaroa, situated in Block II, Maketu Survey District, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 23, folio 221, South Auckland Registry; as the same is more particularly delineated on Survey Office Plan No. 42082, and coloured blue.

SECOND SCHEDULE

26·5 perches, more or less, being part Section 1 of Block IX, Village of Atuaroa, situated in Block II, Maketu Survey District, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 23, folio 221, South Auckland Registry; as the same is more particularly delineated on Survey Office Plan No. 42082, and coloured yellow.
