Declaring Crown Land to be Excluded from the Provisions of the Tourist Hotel Corporation Act 1955

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Tourist Hotel Corporation Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto shall as from the date hereof cease to be administered by the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand for the purposes of the said Act, and shall be subject to the Land Act 1948.

THE improvement and development of, and the erection of buildings of a public-utility nature on, the following land as part of the scheme known as the Wellington Civic Centre Development Scheme, namely:
All that irregularly shaped piece of land situated in the City of Wellington comprising the whole of the area bounded on one side by Cuba Street, on another by Mercer Street, on another by Jervois Quay, and on the remaining side by Wakefield Street.
