ABOLISHING OF WARDS FOR FINANCIAL PURPOSES

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by subsection (2) of section 23 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 10 of the Local Legislation Act 1962, the Takapuna City Council resolves by way of special order that on and after the 1st day of April 1963 the present subdivision of the city into two wards, named respectively Ward A and Ward B, shall be for purposes of representation only.

MARLBOROUGH ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Electric Power Board Act 1925 and the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Marlborough Electric Power Board being a Board duly constituted under the provisions of the Electric Power Board Act 1925, proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, the erection and maintenance of a sub-station; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto and an easement as to right over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto (as appurtenant to the lands described the First Schedule hereto) are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Board situate in Alfred Street, Blenheim, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objection in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary at the public office of the said Board.

FIRST SCHEDULE

(1) All that piece of land situated in the Borough of Blenheim containing 0·82 perches, more or less, being part of the land shown on Deposited Plan 557, and being part allotments 104 and 105 of Section 1, Omaka Registration District, situated in Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 53, folio 155 (Marlborough Registry); and being more particularly shown coloured blue on the plan deposited at the office of the Board as aforesaid.

(2) All that piece of land situate in the Borough of Blenheim containing 1·31 perches, more or less, being part of the land shown on Deposited Plan 453, being part of Allotments 104 and 105 of Section 1, Omaka Registration District, situated in Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume, 53, folio 156 (Marlborough Registry); and being more particularly shown coloured orange on the plan deposited at the office of the Board as aforesaid.

SECOND SCHEDULE

All that piece of land situate in the Borough of Blenheim containing 0·15 perches, more or less, being part of the land shown on Deposited Plan 453, and being part of Allotment 104 of Section 1, Omaka Registration District, situated in Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 53, folio 156 (Marlborough Registry); and being more particularly shown coloured blue on the plan deposited in the office of the Board as aforesaid.

In Block XV, Waikohu Survey District, and/or in Block III, Patutahi Survey District, being land required for the approaches to the new Papworth’s Bridge near Ngatapa and for the deviation of Wharekopae Road in the vicinity of such bridge.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Cook County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road at Papworth’s Bridge near Ngatapa; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule here-to are required to be taken; and notice is hereby given that the plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Cook County Council, 150 Childers Road, Gisborne, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Cook County Council, 150 Childers Road, Gisborne.
