In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter
of Akerama-Lime Ltd., a duly incorporated company
having its registered office at 312 Dilworth Building,
Customs Street East, Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of
the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on
the 15th day of March 1963, presented to the said Court by
the Whangarei Engineering Co. Ltd., a duly incorporated
company having its registered office at Whangarei and carrying
on business there and elsewhere as engineers and suppliers
of engineering requisites; and that the said petition is directed
to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 29th
day of March 1963 at 10 a.m.; and any creditor or contribu-
tory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the
making of an order on the said petition may appear at the
time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose;
and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the under-
signed to any creditor or contributory of the said company
requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the
same.

than 4 p.m. on the 28th day of March 1963.

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter
of Kerry and Harris Ltd.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court,
dated the 11th day of December 1962, confirming the reduction
of capital of the above-named company from £7,000 to
£3,500, and the minute approved by the Court showing with
respect to the capital of the company as altered the several
particulars required by the above statute, was registered by
the Registrar of Companies at Auckland on the 26th day of
February 1963.

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1961, £20,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Whakatane County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Whakatane
County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956
for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of
the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Whakatane County
Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one three
pence (0·13d.) in the pound on the rateable unimproved
value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of
Whakatane; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Whakatane County Council on Monday, 11 March 1963.

CITY OF TAKAPUNA

CONSOLIDATION OF SPECIAL RATES

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by
section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as en-
acted by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amend-
ment Act 1959, and all other powers enabling it in that be-
half, the Takapuna City Council hereby resolves by way of
special order, that instead of levying the special rates specified
in the Schedule hereto, to make a uniform consolidated
special rate of one decimal three six six pence (1·366d.) in
the pound (£) on all rateable property within the City of
Takapuna, and the same is hereby made an annually recur-
ring rate for the purpose of paying the annual charges plus
10 per cent thereof payable in respect of the loans secured
by those special rates; and the Takapuna City Council hereby
further resolves that the consolidated special rate shall be
payable in one sum on the 1st day of August in each year
at the Council Chambers, Lake Road, Takapuna, to Brian
Liston Byrnes, or at such other place or to such other person
for the time being authorised by the Council.
