NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the said Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928.

A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open to public inspection at the office of the Council in Bank Street, Te Awamutu. All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.

Amendment Act 1922, and section 60, Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951, by resolutions of the Christchurch Drainage Board and published in the Gazette.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in it by the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951, the Christchurch Drainage Board, at a meeting held on the 19th day of February 1963, resolved that the boundary of the said special area hereinbefore described and defined be further altered so as to include in the said special area all those areas briefly described in the Schedules hereto; and further resolved that the said areas shall form part of and be included in the Subdivision “B” of the said special area and that the boundaries of said subdivision “B” be altered accordingly so as to include all those areas.

THE MINING ACT 1926

Notice is hereby given that, by applications No. 20 and 21 of 1963, in the Warden’s Court at Cromwell, Otto Muller, of Christchurch, salesman, has applied for a water race licence to authorise the diversion of two heads of water from the Kawarau River from a point half a mile above the bridge over the said river on the Cromwell-Bannockburn road, and to convey the same for a distance of 5 chains across Crown lands and thence 18 chains through his freehold land, being Section 48, Block I, Cromwell S.D., in a northerly direction, and for a special site licence for a pump to divert the said water.

The applications will be heard on Wednesday, the 3rd day of April 1963, at 10 a.m., at the Warden’s Court at Crom-well, and all objections thereto must be filed in the Registrar’s Office and notified to applicant, whose address for service is at the office of Brodrick and Parcell, Solicitors, Melmore Street, Cromwell, at least three days before the said date of hearing.
