PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents

Validating Proceedings in Connection With the Patangata County Council’s Loan of £15,000

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 19th day
of February 1963

Present:

THE HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the Patangata County Council is proceeding by way
of special order to raise a loan of £15,000, to be known as
the “Office Building Loan 1962”:

And whereas the special order made by the said Council

to raise the said loan was irregular or defective in that the
first of the two public notifications required by paragraph
(c) of section 87 of the Counties Act 1956 was not given
during the period of 28 days immediately preceding the date
of the subsequent meeting confirming the resolution to raise
the said loan:

And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the district

have not been misled by such irregularity or defect as afore-
said and it is expedient to validate the same:

Now therefore, pursuant to section 130 of the Local Au-

thorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby orders and declares that the proceedings in
connection with the raising of the said loan shall be valid to
all intents and purposes as though the said public notification
had been given in the manner prescribed by paragraph (c)
of section 87 aforesaid, and hereby further orders and declares
that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the
raising of the said loan or of the security for the said loan
shall not be questioned on the ground of the irregularity or
defect aforesaid.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 19th day
of February 1963

Present:

THE HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets
apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto
as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae for the
common use and benefit of the members of the Ngati Kahu
and Ngati Tahuora Hapus of the Ngaiterangi Tribe.
