Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·161d. in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole
of the Borough of Porirua; and that the special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and
be payable half-yearly in each and every year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a
meeting of the Porirua Borough Council held on 20 February
1963.

WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Dwelling Loan 1962 of £3,500

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £3,500 authorised to be raised by the
Whakatane Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of erecting a dwelling and garage for use
of a member of the Council’s staff, the said Whakatane
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
four one-hundredths of a penny (0·04d.) in the pound upon
the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property in the Borough of Whakatane, and
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of April in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above-mentioned resolution was
passed by the Whakatane Borough Council at a special
meeting held on the 18th day of February 1963.

WANGANUI-RANGITIKEI ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui-
Rangitikei Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest and repayment charges and all other expenses on
the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board’s Reticulation
Loan 1963, £150,000, to be raised pursuant to the above-
mentioned authority, the said Board hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one twenty-fifth part of one penny (1/25d.)
in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the
capital value) of all the rateable property in the Wanganui-
Rangitikei Electric Power District; and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of
the aforesaid loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day
of April in each and every year during the currency of the
said loan, but not exceeding a period of 20 years.”

I hereby certify that this is a copy of a resolution passed
by the board on 19 February 1963.

WAIMEA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Waimea Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £7,000, known as Renewal Loan (No. 1) 1962,
authorised to be raised by the Waimea Electric Power Board
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying
on maturity that portion of the Border Area Loan 1951,
£50,000, which matures on 1 May 1963, the said Waimea
Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of 0·009d.
in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the
capital value) of all rateable property of the Waimea Electric
Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Reconstruction Loan (No. 12) 1962, £3,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000) auth-
orised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing
a portion of High Street, the said Lower Hutt City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixty thousandths
of a penny (0·060d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value
(on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property
in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate
made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the
Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on
or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of six years, or
until such time as the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 25
February 1963.

NELSON HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Nelson Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on the Redemption Loan (No. 1) 1963, of £54,000 authorised
to be raised by the Nelson Harbour Board for the purpose
of, together with a cash redemption of £3,000, repaying on
maturity that part of the Nelson Harbour Board Empowering
Act 1948 Loan 1949, £500,000, fourth portion of £75,000,
which matures on 1 April 1963, the said Nelson Harbour
Board hereby makes the special rate, previously authorised
by section 7 of the Nelson Harbour Board Empowering Act
1948, of three farthings in the pound upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable pro-
perty in the Nelson Harbour Board District; and that the
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
October in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
resolution passed by the Nelson Harbour Board on the 18th
day of February 1963.

WAIPU COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

Notice is hereby given that the Waipu County Council,
acting under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
and the Counties Act 1920, proposes to execute certain public
works, namely, to take land for road, and for the purposes
of such work lands described in the Schedule hereto are
required to be taken.

Notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands
required for such public works are deposited in the office of
the Waipu County Council, at Te Puia, and at the offices
of Messrs Nolan and Skeet, Solicitors, Childers Road,
Gisborne, and are open for inspection by all persons during
office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of such public works
or any of them who have any well-founded ground of
objection thereto must state their objection in writing and
deliver same to the Clerk of the Waipu County Council,
at Te Puia, within 40 days from the first publication of this
notice.

SCHEDULE

ONE acre 3 roods 39·3 perches, more or less, being parts of
Takamore A 2 Block, and coloured orange on S.O. Plan 5385.

The above-mentioned lands are situated in the County of
Waipu, Gisborne Land Registration District, and the plan
referred to is deposited in the Survey Office at Gisborne.
