RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1962
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wairoa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £8,000 authorised to be raised by the Wairoa Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for aged persons, the said Wairoa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one nine of a penny (0·19d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Wairoa, comprising the whole of the borough, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Wairoa Borough Council held on the 18th day of February 1963.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Town Planning Loan 1962
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wairoa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £19,000 authorised to be raised by the Wairoa Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of purchasing property for access ways, off-street car parking, street widening, and developing such areas by metalling, sealing, and installing storm-water drainage, the said Wairoa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal six two of a penny (0·62d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Wairoa, comprising the whole of the borough; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Wairoa Borough Council held on the 18th day of February 1963.

Street Lighting and Cabling Loan 1962, £9,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Porirua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £9,000 authorised to be raised by the Porirua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the borough’s share of the cost of laying power cables underground and erecting power poles for street-lighting circuits, the said Porirua Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·073d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Porirua; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Porirua Borough Council held on 20 February 1963.
