Declaration that a Reserve Form Part of the Spencer Park Domain

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares the reserve for recreation described in the Schedule hereto to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act, to form part of the Spencer Park Domain.

Declaration that Part of the Waikaia Domain Shall be a Recreation Reserve and Revocation of the Reservation Over the Said Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that that part of the Waikaia Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and shall be deemed to be a recreation reserve subject to Part II of the said Act and, further, revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the said reserve.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago containing by admeasurement 55 acres, more or less, situated in the Waikaia District, and being Section 7 of Block III of the said district. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 10 of same block, 1,900 links; towards the north-east by Section 1 of Block X of same district, 2,650 links, also by a road line 38·8 links; towards the south-east by a road line, 2,337·7 links; and towards the south-west by a road line 2,096 and 600 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Declaration that Land is a Public Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Riverton Borough Council on the 8th day of October 1962:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Riverton Borough Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the said borough in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby declared to be a public reserve for recreation within the meaning of the said Act.”

Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for recreation over the land described in the Schedule hereto and, further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Riverton Borough Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other recreation reserves under the control of the Council.
