Amendment of Standard Specifications

PURSUANT to the Standards Act 1941 and regulations made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 2 November 1962, amended the under-mentioned standard specifications by the incorporation of the amendments shown hereunder:

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941, notice is hereby given that the above draft amendment is being circulated under the reference No. D7187.

All persons who may be affected by this amendment and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies free of charge from the New Zealand Standards Institute, Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, or Private Bag, Wellington C. 1.

The closing date for receipt of comment is 21 December 1962.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Hokianga Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 15 September 1930 and published in the Gazette, 25 September 1930, Vol. III, page 2850.

National Roads Board—Notice Prohibiting the Parking of Vehicles on Portion of State Highway

It is hereby notified that, pursuant to the National Roads Board Bylaw 1958, No. 1,* the Board has, by resolution carried at its meeting on 17 October 1962, prohibited the parking of vehicles on the portions of the State highway described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

(a) Both sides of No. 48 State Highway from a point at route mileage 8·46 and thence in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 3 chains; and

(b) That, at the south-eastern portion of the turning circle at the termination of No. 48 State Highway, the necessary signs may be erected to indicate that authorised vehicles only may use the off-road parking area provided thereat.
