Restricted Area for Aircraft

IN pursuance of regulation 33 of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1953, I hereby proclaim, in the interests of public safety, the following area to be a restricted area for the passage of all civil aircraft:

All that area bounded by a line joining Birdlings Flat Railway Station (43° 49′ S, 172° 42′ E), to Motukarara (43° 44′ S, 172° 35′ E), to Taitapu (43° 40′ S, 172° 33′ E), to Sunnyside (43° 33′ S, 172° 35′ 30″ E), to Hornby (43° 32′ 30″ S, 172° 32′ E), to Lincoln (43° 38′ 30″ S, 172° 29′ E), to Springston South (43° 41′ S, 172° 26′ E), thence a line through Doyleston (43° 45′ S, 172° 19′ 30″ E), to the south bank of the Rakaia River (43° 51′ S, 172° 08′ E); thence south-east along the south bank of the Rakaia River to the river mouth (43° 54′ S, 172° 12′ E), to a point (44° 01′ 30″ S, 172° 15′ E), to a point (43° 55′ 30″ S, 172° 51′ 30″ E), to the point of commencement and extending vertically from ground level to 3,000 ft north of a line joining Lincoln and Taitapu and from ground level to 7,000 ft south of the said line.

No civil aircraft shall enter the restricted area so described without first having obtained a clearance to do so from Air Traffic Control.

Declaration that Part of the Fergusson Domain Shall be a Recreation Reserve and Revocation of the Reservation Over the Said Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that that part of the Fergusson Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and shall be deemed to be a recreation reserve subject to Part II of the said Act and, further, revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the said reserve.
