TAUMARUNUI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROADS AND TO CLOSE ROADS

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Taumarunui County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely the construction of roads, and for the purpose of such work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and to close the roads described in the Second Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that the plans of the lands required to be taken and the roads to be closed are deposited at the public office of the said Council situated in Miriama Street, Taumarunui, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary business hours.

All persons affected by the taking of such lands or the closing of the said roads, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said lands or the closing of the said roads, must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice on the 13th day of September 1962, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.
