AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of two hundred and forty thousand pounds (£240,000) to be known as the Albert Street Parking Building Loan 1960, £240,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of constructing a vehicular parking building in Albert Street, city, and the cost of raising the loan, the Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eight fifteenths of one penny (8/15ths of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 27th day of August 1962.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of fourteen thousand two hundred pounds (£14,200) to be known as the Pensioner Flats Loan 1961, £14,200, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of erecting flats for aged persons and the cost of raising the loan, the Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one fortieth of one penny (1/40th of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

POVERTY BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of fifty-one thousand pounds (£51,000) authorised to be raised by the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of a portion (£20,000) of the Extensions Loan 1950 of £100,000 and the outstanding liability in respect of a portion (£65,000) of the Extensions Loan 1952 of £150,000, the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three ninety-eighths of a penny (3/98d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in that portion of the Poverty Bay Electric Power District as is contained in the constituent districts of the Cook County (including the Patutahi Town District), Waikohu County, and the City of Gisborne; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is duly paid up.”

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

Edgecumbe Water Supply Loan 1962, £16,800

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whakatane County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £16,800 authorised to be raised by the Whakatane County Council under the above-mentioned Act for providing water reticulation to part of the Township of Edgecumbe for which a special roll was prepared for this purpose, the said Whakatane County Council hereby makes a special rate of fourpence (4d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable properties of part of the Edgecumbe Township area for which a special roll was prepared for this purpose; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Whakatane County Council held on Tuesday, the 28th day of August 1962.

EAST COAST BAYS BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £36,000 authorised to be raised by the East Coast Bays Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Water Reticulation Loan 1957 of £360,000 was sanctioned, the said East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two one pence (0·21d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of East Coast Bays; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the East Coast Bays Borough Council held on the 5th day of September 1962.

EAST COAST BAYS BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £162,700 authorised to be raised by the East Coast Bays under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out resealing and other urgent road maintenance work stormwater drainage, and providing kerbing and channelling and concrete footpaths at the same time, the said East Coast Bays Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nine five (0·95) of a penny (1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the Borough of East Coast Bays; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the East Coast Bays Borough Council held on the 5th day of September 1962.
