Declaring an Access Way to be Under the Control and Management of the Manukau County Council

At the Government House at Wellington this 12th day of September 1962

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the access way described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be under the control and management of the Manukau County Council.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that access way containing 10·2 perches situated in Block VI, Otahuhu Survey District, Auckland R.D., and being Lot 102, D.P. 49381. Part certificate of title, Volume 2066, folio 18, Auckland Land Registry.

Amending the Constitution of the Waitane Rural Fire District

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following order:

The Order in Council dated the 17th day of April 1951 and published in the Gazette, 26 April 1951, No. 34, page 579, and amended by an Order in Council dated the 5th day of September 1956 and published in the Gazette, 13 September 1956, No. 51, page 1254, is hereby amended by omitting the Schedule to that Order in Council and substituting the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order in Council.

“SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY

“Waitane Rural Fire District

“ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Southland County, containing approximately 5,540 acres, situated in Block II, Lindhurst Hundred, and Blocks V, VII, and X, Waimumu Hundred, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the west by Section 57A, Block V, Waimumu Hundred, and by the west side of a public road; towards the north-east by Section 58, Block V, Waimumu Hundred; towards the north-west by Sections 58 (aforesaid), 59, 60, 61, and 62, Block V, Waimumu Hundred; towards the north-east by the northern side of a public road; towards the east generally by Lots 47 and 46 on Land Transfer Plan 177 (Southland Land Registry), and by the eastern side of Miller Road; towards the south by the southern side of the Winton-Gore Main Highway; towards the west by Sections 19, 18, and 61, Block I, Lindhurst Hundred; towards the north by a public road; towards the west by Section 57, Block II, Lindhurst Hundred, to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 212/13 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.”

Constituting the Borough of Murupara

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 3rd day of September 1962

Present:

THE HON. J. R. HANAN, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. As on and from the 10th day of September 1962 the Town District of Murupara shall be constituted a Borough.
  2. The name of the said borough shall be the Borough of Murupara.
  3. The number of councillors of the said borough shall be seven exclusive of the mayor.
  4. Lawrence Henry Oliver, of Murupara, shall be the returning officer to conduct the first election of the mayor and councillors of the said borough.
  5. The said Lawrence Henry Oliver shall be the town clerk and the person to prepare the district electors’ roll for the purposes of the said first election.
  6. The first election of mayor and councillors of the said borough shall be held on Saturday, 13 October 1962.
  7. The first meeting of the Council of the said borough shall be held on Tuesday, 23 October 1962, at 7.30 p.m., in the Council Chambers at Murupara.
  8. The constitution of the said borough shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

Reapportioning Representation on the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 12th day of September 1962

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby determines as follows:

(1) This Order in Council shall come into force on the date of the next general election of members of local authorities.
(2) The constituent districts of the Hutt Valley Electric Power District which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be combined districts for the purposes of the said Act.
(3) The local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the letter “(P)” shall be the principal local authority of the combined district of which it forms a part.
(4) The number of representatives of each constituent district and combined district of the Hutt Valley Electric Power District on the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district or combined district.
(5) The first election of the representative of Porirua Borough and the first election of the representatives of the combined district of part Hutt County as now constituted and Eastbourne Borough shall be held on the date of the said next general election.
(6) The Order in Council dated the 29th day of August 1956 and published in the Gazette on the 30th day of the same month at page 1183, reapportioning representation on the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board, is hereby revoked.
