TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928

Notice is hereby given that the Timaru City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the widening of the street known as The Terrace in the City of Timaru, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situated in King George's Place, Timaru, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, King George's Place, Timaru.

DUNEDIN METROPOLITAN REGIONAL PLANNING AUTHORITY

Town and Country Planning Act 1953

Dunedin Metropolitan Regional Planning Scheme, Amendment No. 1, 1962

Pursuant to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the Dunedin Metropolitan Regional Planning Scheme, Amendment No. 1, 1962, has been approved in accordance with the provisions of section 10 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and amendments, and shall become operative on 13 September 1962.

The amendment alters the zoning of an area of land containing 15 acres, more or less, in the Borough of Green Island, adjacent to Brighton Road, from "Industrial" to "Residential", as shown on map reg. 7/A.

Copies of map reg. 7/A have been deposited in the offices of the Dunedin Metropolitan Regional Planning Authority, Dunedin City Council, the Boroughs of St. Kilda, Green Island, West Harbour, Port Chalmers, Mosgiel, the Counties of Taieri, Peninsula, Waikouaiti, and at the Dunedin Public Library and may be inspected, without fee, at any time when these places are open to the public.

OPOTIKI BOROUGH COUNCIL

Town and Country Planning Act 1953

Inviting Proposals for Opotiki District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Opotiki Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 21st day of August 1962, has resolved to prepare for the Opotiki Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person concerned and every local authority in the district, as defined by section 2 of the Act, is hereby invited to submit full information as to the proposals (including public works) which in his or its opinion should be considered in the preparation of the Scheme.

Proposals marked "Opotiki District Scheme" should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk's Office on or before 31 December 1962.

THE MINING ACT 1926

NOTICE is hereby given that George Davidson Bunn has applied, by application No. 55 of 1962, to the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Cromwell for a licence for a water race commencing in the Swiftburn 200 yards above the old road and terminating at the west end of applicant's hillside land to divert four heads of water for irrigation and stock purposes.

The application will be heard at the Warden's Court, Crom-well, on the 17th day of October 1962 at 10 a.m. Objections must be filed in the registrar's office and notified to the applicant or his solicitors, Brodrick and Parcell, Melmore Street, Cromwell, at least three days before the time so appointed.
