Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·135 pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the County Towns of Porirua, Titahi Bay, and Takapuwahia, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Makara County Council held on the 20th day of June 1962.

TE AROHA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Flats Loan No. 2, 1961, £2,000
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Te Aroha Borough Council, held on the 17th day of October 1961, the following resolution was passed:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the Te Aroha Borough Council Pensioners Flats Loan No. 2, 1961, £2,000, authorised to be raised by the Te Aroha Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought four five eight two eight (·045828d.) pence in the pound on all rateable property in the Borough of Te Aroha, on the basis of the unimproved value; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, during the period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
“That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the payment of the said debenture or debentures the annually recurring special rate of decimal nought four five eight two eight (·045828d.) pence in the pound on all rateable property in the Borough of Te Aroha on the basis of the unimproved value made and levied.”

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL
CONSOLIDATION OF SPECIAL RATES
NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Napier City Council held on 23 May 1962 the following resolution was passed.
“In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as enacted by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, the Napier City Council hereby resolves by way of special order that instead of levying the special rates specified in the Schedule hereto the Council do make a rate of four decimal five six four nine pence (4·5649d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such rate shall be an annually-recurring rate and may be levied in whole or in part year by year without further proceedings by the Council and shall be payable yearly in one sum on the 1st day of August in each year and every year.”

MARLBOROUGH COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Marlborough County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, “road widening”; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said County Council situated in Queen Street, Blenheim, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the said public office of the County Council.
SCHEDULE
FIRST, all that piece of land containing 9·8 perches, more or less, situated in Block VII, Arapawa Survey District, being part of Section 9F 9G No. 2 of the Waikawa Native Village and being that part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 42, folio 121, Marlborough Registry, as is more particularly delineated and coloured yellow on the said plan.
Secondly, all that piece of land containing 1·5 perches, more or less, situated in Block VII, Arapawa Survey District, being part of Waikawa Village Section 10c 1 and being that part of certificate of title, Volume 51, folio 283, Marlborough Registry, as is delineated and coloured blue on the said plan.

TE PUKE BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 22 of the Public Works Act 1928, by the body corporate known as the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Te Puke, that the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for a proposed public work, namely, the formation of a service lane within the Borough of Te Puke opening on to Jocelyn Street and giving access to the rear portion of certain premises fronting on to Jellicoe Street.
A plan of the said proposed public work has been deposited at the Te Puke Borough Council Chambers and is available for inspection at any time during normal office hours.
All interested or affected persons are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Clerk of the Te Puke Borough Council aforesaid within 40 days from the 18th day of June 1962, being the date of the first publication of this notice.
