NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of members of L. G. White Ltd. will be held on Monday the 2nd day of July 1962, at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be proposed; and that a meeting of the creditors of the company will be held, pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, at the Pioneer Sports Club, 188 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, on Tuesday, the 3rd day of July 1962, at 4 o’clock, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amounts of their claims, will be laid before the meeting and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 285 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 286 of the said Act may appoint a committee of inspection.

THE liquidator of Erp Motors Ltd. does hereby fix the 31st day of July 1962 as the day on or before which creditors of the company have to prove their claims or debts and to establish priority (if any) under section 308 of the Companies Act 1955, otherwise they may be excluded from the benefits of any distribution made before such claims or debts are proved or, as the case may be, from objection to such distribution.

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of the New Forest Sawmilling Co. Ltd., a company incorporated in New Zealand and having its registered office at 174 St. Asaph Street, Christchurch, and carrying on the business of sawmilling.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand dated the 18th day of June 1962 confirming the reduction of capital of the above-named company from £27,200 to £19,040 and the minute approved by the Court showing, with respect to the capital of the company as altered, the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act, was registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 21st day of June 1962.

The said minute is in the words and figures following:

“The capital of the New Forest Sawmilling Co. Ltd. is £19,040 divided into 27,200 fully-paid ordinary shares of 14s. each having been reduced from £27,200 divided into 27,200 fully-paid ordinary shares of £1 each.”

LOST STOCK CERTIFICATE

APPLICATION has been made to the above company to issue a new certificate of title in lieu of original certificate No. 30958 issued in the name of Airini Elizabeth Woodhouse, of Bluecliffs Station, St. Andrews, South Canterbury, and the said Airini Elizabeth Woodhouse has made a statutory declaration that the original certificate of title to the said stock has been lost.

Notice is hereby given that unless within 30 days from the date hereof there is made to the company some claim or representation in respect of the said original certificate a new certificate will be issued in place thereof.

PAHIATUA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Pahiatua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Pahiatua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of municipal chambers and hall, the said Pahiatua Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one decimal nine three pence (1·93d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Pahiatua; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such loan is fully paid.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Pahiatua Borough Council held on the 19th day of June 1962.

NELSON HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Nelson Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £85,000 authorised to be raised by the Nelson Harbour Board for the purpose of carrying out certain harbour works in the Nelson Harbour as authorised by the Nelson Harbour Board Empowering Act 1959, the said Nelson Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Nelson Harbour Board District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Nelson Harbour Board on the 18th day of June 1962.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Cottages (Marshland Road) Loan 1962, £25,000
IN PURSUANCE and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing additional accommodation for aged persons, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and eighty-three twenty-five thousandths of a penny (183/25,000d.) in the pound (£0·0000305) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the 20 June 1962, passed the above resolution.
