DARGAVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER
Reduction in Number of Councillors
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, in exercise of the powers
conferred upon it by section 53 (2) of the Municipal Corpora-
tions Act 1954 and all other powers thereunto enabling it,
and in accordance with the decision of Council made on the
15th day of May 1961 and confirmed on the 19th day of
June 1961, the Dargaville Borough Council hereby resolves
by way of special order to reduce the number of councillors
constituting such Council from nine members to seven mem-
bers.
Resolved further that the said resolution be submitted for
confirmation to a special meeting of the Council to be held
on Monday, 11 June 1962, at 5.15 p.m.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Public Notification of the City of Lower Hutt District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution
of the Lower Hutt City Council made on the 27th day of
November 1961, a district scheme has been recommended
for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act
1953. The scheme relates to the City of Lower Hutt. The
scheme has been deposited in the Council Offices, Laings
Road, Lower Hutt, the War Memorial Library, Lower Hutt,
and the branch libraries at Moera and Stokes Valley, in
accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act, and is there open
for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein
at any time when the above places are open to the public.
Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be
in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the
Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be
lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than
6 October 1962. At a later date every objection will be open
for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support
or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the
hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing
within the period of which public notice will be given.

ADVERTISEMENT OF CANCELLING
NOTICE is hereby given that the Deputy Registrar of Friendly
Societies has, pursuant to Section 70 of the Friendly Societies
Act 1909 by writing under his hand this 20th day of June
1962 cancelled the registry of Kennington Lodge, No. 29,
held at Kennington, and Templeton Lodge, No. 33, held at
Templeton (Register Nos. 146/119 and 146/20), of the
Independent Order of Odd Fellows of New Zealand Friendly
Society, on the ground that the said branches have ceased to
exist.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PROMOTE A PRIVATE BILL
CHURCH OF ENGLAND CHILDREN'S TRUST ACT 1962
PUBLIC notice is hereby given by The Orphan Home Trust
Board having its office at 40 Shortland Street, Auckland, that
it intends to apply forthwith for leave to introduce a Private
Bill under the short title of "Church of England Children's
Trust Act 1962".
The objects of such Bill are as set forth in the intituling
thereof, which reads as follows, namely:
"An Act to declare the trusts upon which certain real
and personal property is now held by The Orphan Home
Trust Board, a Trust Board incorporated under the pro-
visions of the Religious Charitable and Educational Trust
Boards Incorporation Act 1884 and having its office at
Shortland Street in the City of Auckland (hereinafter re-
ferred to as "the Board"); and to declare the trusts upon
which real and personal property hereinafter vested in or
acquired by the Board is to be held; and to confer certain
necessary powers upon the Board; and to provide a con-
stitution and rules for the Board; and to provide for other
incidental matters to facilitate the management and adminis-
tration of such real and personal property vested in or
acquired by the Board; and to validate a change of name
of the Board."
Copies of the Bill may be inspected by the public, without
fee, during office hours at the Church of England Diocesan
Office, 40 Shortland Street, Auckland.
Communications or notices to the promoter may be sent
to the same address.
