Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

1. As on and from the 31st day of March 1962 the Te Karaka Town Council is hereby dissolved and the Town District of Te Karaka is hereby merged in the County of Waikohu.
2. The dissolution of the said Town Council and the merger of the said town district in the said county shall be deemed to have been effected under the Counties Act 1956.
3. As on and from the 31st day of March 1962 the Te Karaka Secondary Urban Fire District is hereby abolished.

1. On and from the 1st day of April 1962 the Mangawhero Drainage District is hereby abolished, and the Mangawhero Drainage Board is dissolved.
2. On and from the date aforesaid the assets and liabilities of the Mangawhero Drainage Board are hereby transferred to the Otorohanga County Council.
