Boundaries of County of Waikato and Borough of Huntly Altered

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 26th day of March 1962
Present:
THE HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- On and from the 1st day of April 1962 the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Waikato and included in the Borough of Huntly.
- The alteration of the boundaries of the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
SCHEDULE
All that area in the South Auckland Land District, Waikato County, containing 258 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western side of Russell Road 427 links south-east of the northernmost corner of Allotment 14, Taupiri Parish, in Block XI, Rangiriri Survey District, and shown on S.O. Plan 4184, and Proceeding north-easterly along a right line across that road to the northernmost corner of Lot 23, D.P. 23455; thence south-easterly generally along the south-western boundary of part Allotment 15, comprised in certificate of title, Volume 631, folio 258, along a right line across Ralphs Road to and along the south-western side of a railway to the intersection of the south-western boundary of Allotment 463B; thence south-easterly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of parts Allotments 11 and 6, along the north-eastern end of an intersecting public road to the easternmost corner of the said part Allotment 6; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of a public road forming the north-western boundary of part Allotment 5 and south-easterly along the north-eastern end of that road to and along the south-western side of a railway to the junction of the north-eastern boundary of part Allotment 5; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said part Allotment 5 and the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 41 and 37, D.P. S. 1158, and the last-named boundary produced across Kimihia Road to the easternmost corner of Allotment 690, and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of the said Allotments being of Taupiri Parish), and that last-named boundary produced to its junction with the boundary of the Borough of Huntly as described in Gazette, 1948, page 1107; thence north-westerly generally along that borough boundary to the point of commencement.

Boundaries of City of Gisborne and County of Cook Altered

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- On and from the 1st day of April 1962 the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Cook and included in the City of Gisborne.
- The alteration of the boundaries of the said county and the said city hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
SCHEDULE
All that area in the Gisborne Land District, County of Cook, containing an area of 14 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Lot 33, D.P. 539, in Block III, Turanganui Survey District, and being a point on the boundary of the City of Gisborne as described in Gazette, 1956, pages 409, 410, and proceeding north-easterly
along a right line 300 links distant from and parallel to the north-western side of Massey Road to the south-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 3661; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of the said Lot 2 and of Lot 43, D.P. 539, to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 43 to the south-western side of Valley Road; thence south-easterly and southerly generally along the said south-western side and its production to the middle of Massey Road, along the middle of the said road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2573, to and along the said north-eastern boundary, the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 2573, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary, to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 4818, Lots 7 and 8, D.P. 2573, the production of the last-mentioned boundary, to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 10, D.P. 2573, and its production to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 12, D.P. 2573, and its production to the south-western boundary of Lot 13, D.P. 2573; thence north-westerly along the said boundary and its production across Massey Road to and along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 33, D.P. 539, to the point of commencement.

Revoking Licence Authorising Ostend-Onetangi Wharves, Ltd., to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land Below Low-water Mark at Omiha, Waiheke Island, as a Site for a Wharf

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 19th day of March 1962
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the licence granted on the 10th day of January 1951* to Ostend-Onetangi Wharves, Ltd., to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Omiha, Waiheke Island, as shown on plan marked M.D. 5597 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining a wharf thereon.

Abolition of the Hokitika Harbour District

Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- On and from the 1st day of July 1962 the Hokitika Harbour District shall be abolished and the Hokitika Harbour Board dissolved.
- On and from the date aforesaid the assets and liabilities of the Hokitika Harbour Board shall be transferred to the Hokitika Borough Council.
