Excluding Road from Speed Limitation and Declaring a Limited Speed Zone

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. That the Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* dated the 14th day of April 1958†, which relates to the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (formerly known as the Timaru-Dunedin State Highway No. 59) in Hampden Borough, is hereby revoked.

2. The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED WITHIN HAMPDEN BOROUGH

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from Monmouth Street to the northern boundary of Hampden Borough; and from a point 2 chains measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Ipswich Street to the southern boundary of Hampden Borough).

Consent to Erection of Flashing Red Traffic Control Lights

Pursuant to subclause 5 of regulation 18 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport hereby consents to the erection of flashing red lights at the places described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of traffic control in terms of subclause 4 of the said regulation 18.

SITUATED within Taieri County on Centre Road (also known as Allanton Road) at a point 460 ft north and at a point 660 ft south of the intersection of the prolongation of the middle line of the main runway of Momona Airport with the said Centre Road, as indicated on plan T.T. 1798 deposited in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
