Appointing Members of the Northland Catchment Commission

PURSUANT to subsection 5 (a) of section 13 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council hereby appoints the following to be members of the Northland Catchment Commission:

Clifford Baugh, Hikurangi;
Mervyn Allan Hosking, Waikiekie;
George Simpson McHardy, Hikurangi;
Joseph Alvan Simpkin, Dargaville;
William Hesketh Heald, Tangiteroria;
John Frank Johnson, Whangarei;
Kenneth Haslett, Whangarei;
Murray Harris Clark, Hikurangi;
Brian de Labrosse Linnell, Kaiwaka;
Samuel Swanston Green, Dargaville;

and, pursuant to subsection 5 (b) of the said section 13 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, hereby appoints, to be members of the Northland Catchment Commission, the persons for the time being holding the offices in the Public Service of—

District Commissioner of Works, Ministry of Works, Auckland;
District Soil Conservator, Department of Agriculture, Auckland;
District Ranger, New Zealand Forest Service, Kaikohe;
Superintendent of Land Development, Department of Lands and Survey, Whangarei.

Formation of District Council of Tribal Executives

PURSUANT to section 13 (7) of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, I hereby give notice that I have approved of the formation of a District Maori Council of Tribal Executives for the Ikaroa Maori Land Court District, to be known as the Ikaroa District Maori Council of Tribal Executives. The names of the Tribal Executives which are members of the said Council are the Heretaunga, Tamatea, Raukawa, Ruahine, Wellington, and Wairarapa Maori Tribal Executives.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
