Land Taken for the Auckland Harbour Bridge in the Borough of Northcote

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the Auckland Harbour Bridge, and shall vest in the Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of December 1961.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of land situated in Block XII, Waitemata Survey District, Borough of Northcote, Auckland R.D., described as follows:

0 0 0·6 Part Lot 3, D.P. 17686, being part Allotment 30, Takapuna Parish; coloured yellow on plan.
0 0 1·9 Part Lot 2, D.P. 17686, being part Allotment 30, Takapuna Parish; coloured yellow on plan.
0 0 3·2 Part Lot 1, D.P. 17686, being part Allotment 30, Takapuna Parish; coloured yellow on plan.
0 0 0·6 Part Lot 13, D.P. 17686, being part Allotment 30, Takapuna Parish; coloured sepia on plan.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 4457 (S.O. 42909) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for river protection purposes and shall vest in the Hutt River Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of December 1961.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a surfaceman’s cottage; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of December 1961.

ALL that piece of land containing 2 roods situated in Block XV, Makotuku Survey District, Wellington R.D., being part Lot 1, D.P. 9286, being part Section 1; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 4455 (S.O. 19326) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken, and that the Crown land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for defence purposes.

ALL that piece of land containing 2 acres 1 rood 27 perches situated in Block XI, Rangitoto Survey District, Wellington R.D., being part Lot 1, D.P. 5311, and part Lot 51, D.P. 402, being part Section 41, Rangitikei District; coloured orange on plan.

SECOND SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of Crown land containing 11 perches situated in Block XI, Rangitoto Survey District, Wellington R.D., being part Section 40, Rangitikei District; coloured sepia on plan.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 4442 (S.O. 25119) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in Block VII, Rangitata Survey District, Ashburton County

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the National Roads Board and shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of railway land containing 8·3 perches situated in Block VII, Rangitata Survey District, Canterbury R.D.; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 3744 (S.O. 9864) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 11th day of December 1961.
