THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the service lane described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Citizens of the Town District of Murupara and be under the control and management of the Murupara Town Council.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 39Β·3 perches situated in the Town District of Murupara, being Lot 21, D.P. S. 6620, being part Sections 16 and 33, Block XIII, Galatea Survey District. Part certificates of title, Volume 1420, folio 95, and Volume 1211, folio 256, Auckland Land Registry.

Pursuant to section 12 of the Auckland Regional Authority Establishment Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby extends the time for the dissolution of the Auckland Regional Authority Establishment Committee until the 1st day of January 1963, or until the date on which the local Bill to be prepared by the Committee for submission to Parliament, pursuant to that Act, comes into force if that date is earlier than the said 1st day of January 1963.

The Samoa Land for Defence Purposes Order 1945,

Amendment No. 1

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by the Samoa Land for Defence Purposes Order 1945 certain Samoan and European lands, as set out in the First and Fourth Schedules to that order, were taken for defence purposes and certain Crown land, as set out in the Third Schedule to that order, was reserved for defence purposes; and whereas those lands are no longer required for defence purposes and it is desired to set part of them aside for the purpose of civil aviation and part for plantation purposes; and whereas the lands have been resurveyed, which surveys show that the total area of the lands has been reduced to one thousand nine hundred acres and twelve perches (1,900 a. 0 r. 12 p.) due to loss by sea erosion and road widening.
Now therefore, pursuant to section 8 of the Samoa Amendment 1938, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Samoa Land for Defence Purposes Order 1945, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Samoa Land for Defence Purposes Order 1945* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).
    (2) This order shall come into force on the date of the making thereof, and shall expire when the revocation of the principal order by the Western Samoa Act 1961 comes into force.

  2. The public purpose for which the lands described in the First, Third, and Fourth Schedules to the principal order are held is hereby altered as provided in clauses 3 and 4 of this order.

  3. The public purpose for which the land described in the First Schedule hereto is held (being land forming part of the lands described in the First, Third, and Fourth Schedules to the principal order) shall be civil aviation.

  4. The public purpose for which the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is held (being all the land described in the First, Third and Fourth Schedules to the principal order which is not included in the First Schedule hereto) shall be plantation.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL those pieces or parcels of land containing an area of one hundred and ninety-eight acres two roods and two perches (198 a. 2 r. 2 p.) more or less, situated at Mulifanua in the District of Aana, described as Parcels 407/97, 408/97, and 409/97, Flur XV Upolu, parts being also Court Grant 665 and part Court Grants 163, 622, 788, 893, 898, 905, 913, 1013, 1015, 1022, 1023 and part closed road, being all the land registered in Volume 4, folios 135, 177, 183, 236, 241, Volume 2, folios 106, 242, Volume 1, folio 30, Volume 7, folio 263, and the balance of the land registered in Volume 4, folios 13, 179, and Volume 2, folio 296, of the land Register of Western Samoa and more particularly shown on plan 46 U/XVL deposited in the office of the Director of Lands, Apia, Western Samoa, and thereon bordered red.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL those pieces or parcels of land containing an area of one thousand seven hundred and one acres two roods and ten perches (1701 a. 2 r. 10 p.), more or less, situated at Mulifanua in the District of Aana, described as Parcels 410/97 and 411/97, Flur XV Upolu, parts being also Court Grants 861 and 894 and part Court Grants 788, 893, 905, 913, 1013, 1015, 1022, 1023 and part closed road, being all of the land registered in Volume 4, folios 166 and 178, and the balance of the land registered in Volume 4, folios 135, 177, 183, 236, 241, 242, Volume 7, folio 263, Volume 2, folio 106, Volume 1, folio 30, of the Land Register of Western Samoa, and more particularly shown on plan 47 U/XVL deposited in the office of the Director of Lands, Apia, Western Samoa, and thereon bordered red.
