BULLER ELECTRIC POWER BOARD


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Buller Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,500 authorised to be raised by the Buller Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a staff house at Karamea, the said Buller Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two one of a penny (·021d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Buller Electric Power District, comprising part of the County of Buller and the whole of the Borough of Westport; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Pensioners’ Flats Loan—1961, £3,800

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Huntly Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of £3,800 authorised to be raised by the Huntly Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for erecting flats for aged people, the said Huntly Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought eight six pence (·086d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Huntly; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Elderly Persons Housing Loan 1961 of £7,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £7,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing suitable accommodation for aged persons, the Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0052d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Electric Power Supply Loan 1961, £81,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of eighty-one thousand pounds (£81,000) authorised to be raised by the Taupo Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the Council’s electrical transmission and distribution system, the said Taupo Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one decimal one one three pence (1·113d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taupo; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taupo Borough Council at a meeting held on the 27th day of November 1961.

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Drainage Improvement Loan 1961 of £13,700

NOTICE is hereby given that, at a meeting of the above Council held on the 20th day of November 1961, the following resolution was passed:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual loan charges on a loan of thirteen thousand seven hundred pounds (£13,700) authorised to be raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of the cost of carrying out drainage improvements in the western catchment area, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one-half penny (½d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Te Kuiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

GREYTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL


SPECIAL ORDER


THAT the Greytown Borough Council pursuant to the provisions of section 77 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in pursuance of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted on the 4th day of November 1958, and in pursuance and in exercise of all other acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve by way of special order as follows:

“(1) That the Council proceed to raise a special loan of seven thousand five hundred pounds (£7,500) for the purpose of replacing the existing water reticulation system.

“(2) That such loan of seven thousand five hundred pounds (£7,500) be called the Water Supply Extension Loan 1958 of £7,500.

“(3) That the term of the said special loan shall be thirty-five (35) years.

“(4) That the said sum of seven thousand five hundred pounds (£7,500) to be raised aforesaid with interest thereon at the rate of five per cent (5%) per annum be repaid by seventy (70) equal aggregate half-yearly instalments over the term of the loan.

“(5) That the Council shall make and levy and shall appropriate the pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan an annual-recurring special rate of one penny and one hundred and fifteen thousandths of a penny (1·115d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Greytown.

“(6) That the cost of raising the loan, but not the first year’s interest and sinking fund, be paid out of the loan.”

RESULT OF RATING POLL—PAKURANGA COUNTY TOWN

I hereby give notice that, at a poll of ratepayers taken on the 18th day of November 1961 under section 40 of the Rating Act 1925, the Counties Act 1956, and the Local Elections and Polls Act 1953, on the proposal to adopt the system of rating on unimproved value in the Pakuranga County Town, the number of votes recorded was as follows:

Pursuant to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I hereby declare the proposal to adopt the system of rating on the unimproved value within the said Pakuranga County Town to be carried.
