WAIUKU BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESULT OF RATING POLL

I hereby give notice that, at a poll of ratepayers taken on the 25th day of November 1961, under section 40 of the Rating Act 1925 and the Local Elections and Polls Act 1953, on the proposal to adopt the system of rating on unimproved values in the Borough of Waiuku, the number of votes recorded was as follows:

For unimproved value        .....  .....  222
Against unimproved value     .....  .....  282
Informal                     .....  .....  5

Pursuant to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I hereby declare the proposal to adopt the system of rating on the unimproved value within the said Borough of Waiuku to be lost.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work, namely, parking; and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 11 perches, more or less, being part Allotment 17, Section 15, City of Auckland, as shown on Deposited Plan 509, and being the whole of the land in certificate of title, Volume 46, folio 284, Auckland Registry.

THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR HOUSING PURPOSES

NOTICE is hereby given that the Thames Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, to exercise the powers conferred upon it by section 327 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes; and notice is hereby given that a locality plan of the land so required to be taken as aforesaid is deposited in the public office of the Thames Borough Council, situated at Pollen Street, Thames, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during office hours.

All persons affected by the taking of the said land who have any well grounded objections to such taking must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Thames Borough Council at its said office at Thames, i.e., before the 23rd day of January 1962.

SCHEDULE

FIRSTLY, that piece of land situated in the Borough of Thames with frontage to Wilson Street, Thames, containing 1 rood 17 perches, more or less, being part of Kauaeranga E 11 Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 970, folio 84, Auckland Registry (limited as to parcels and title).

Secondly, that piece of land situated as aforesaid with frontage to Robert Street, Thames, being part of Kauaeranga E 13 Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 562, folio 211, Auckland Registry (limited as to parcels and title).

Dated at Thames this 14th day of December 1961.

BOROUGH OF PUKEKOHE

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Public Notification of Pukekohe District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Pukekohe Borough Council made on the 11th day of November 1959, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the Borough of Pukekohe. The scheme has been deposited in the Pukekohe Public Library, Wesley Street, Pukekohe, in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act, and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above place is open to the public.

Objection to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than Friday, 16 March 1962. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.

The price of each Gazette varies and is printed thereon.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.
