Hitchings, who carried on business as bricklayers at Christchurch under the name of Hitching Bros., has been dissolved by reason of the death on 23 September 1961 of John Hathaway Hitchings whose estate is administered by the District Public Trustee, Christchurch.

RESOLUTION PLEDGING SPECIAL RATE

Marton R.S.A. and Citizens Memorial Hall Loan, 1960

THAT, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,500, described as portion of the Marton R.S.A. and Citizens Memorial Hall Loan 1960 of £15,000, authorised to be raised by the Marton Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of completing the erection of a Memorial Hall in the Borough of Marton, the said Marton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·190d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Marton; that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable in yearly instalments on the 1st day of April each and every year during the currency of the loan or until the loan is fully paid off.

GORE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Eastern Southland Airport Loan 1961, £23,500—First Instalment £15,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at an ordinary meeting of the Gore Borough Council held on the 27th day of November 1961.

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on an instalment loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Gore Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, the said Gore Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two nought one pence (·201d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Gore; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of May and the 15th day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BULLER ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Buller Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Buller Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a transmission line to and reticulating the Karamea area, the said Buller Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one decimal four one of a penny (1·41d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Buller Electric Power District, comprising part of the County of Buller and the whole of the Borough of Westport; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The said special rate is the same rate made by the said Board on the 13th day of March 1961, the 10th day of March 1952, the 9th day of September 1952, the 9th day of March 1953, the 13th day of July 1953, the 12th day of October 1953, the 8th day of February 1954, the 14th day of June 1954, the 21st day of June 1954, the 8th day of November 1954, the 12th day of October 1955, the 13th day of August 1958 (2), the 9th day of December 1959, and the 13th day of September 1961 and not additional thereto.”
