OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waihi Beach Roads Reconstruction and Sealing Loan 1961, £21,500

NOTICE is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council held on the 8th day of November 1961, the following resolution was passed:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ohinemuri County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £21,500 authorised to be raised by the Ohinemuri County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting Council's share of the cost of reconstructing and sealing all roads in the Waihi Beach County Town, the boundaries of which coincide with the boundaries of the Waihi Beach Riding, the said Ohinemuri County Council hereby makes a special rate of 1·470d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Waihi Beach County Town, comprising the whole of the Waihi Beach County Town and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 21st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Onekawa General Development Loan 1959, £50,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing the Onekawa area within the city, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one nine (·19) of a penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

MANUREWA BOROUGH COUNCIL

CONSOLIDATION OF SPECIAL RATES

PURSUANT to the powers vested in it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Manurewa Borough Council hereby makes a consolidated special rate of four decimal six three four eight pence (4·6348d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole district of the Borough of Manurewa; and such consolidated special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate and shall be in lieu of the following special rates:

HOWICK BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Howick, taken on the 18th day of November 1961, on the proposal of the Howick Borough Council to borrow the sum of £128,000 for the purpose of a loan to provide a town hall and municipal offices, including shops for letting, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ... 206
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was .. 855
The number of informal votes was ......... 1

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waimarino County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of a metal pit; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Waimarino County Council, Seddon Street, Raetihi, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Waimarino County Council at its offices in Seddon Street, Raetihi.

The said piece of land being situated in the County of Waimarino and the Land Registration District of Wellington; as the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked S.O. 25120 deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL OF RATEPAYERS IN SPECIAL RATING AREA FORMING PART OF UPPER HUTT SUBDIVISION OF THE HUTT RIVER DISTRICT

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers of the special rating area forming part of Upper Hutt Subdivision of the Hutt River District taken on Saturday, 25 November 1961, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £120,000, to be known as Silverstream-Maoribank Loan 1961 (£120,000), for the purpose of channel alignment control from Silverstream to Maoribank and constructing stopbanks from Brentwood to Maoribank, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 417
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 705
The number of informal votes was ........... 1

I declare that the proposal was rejected.
