CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Electricity Extension Loan 1961, £250,000

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of two hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£250,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the distribution system and electrical reticulation of the Council's electricity undertaking, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and forty-one - one thousand two hundred and fifty thousandths of a penny (141/1,250d.) in the pound (£0·00047) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the 15th day of November 1961, passed the above resolution.

SHANNON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners Flats Additional Loan 1960

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Shannon Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one thousand four hundred and fifty pounds (£1,450) authorised to be raised by the Shannon Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the completion of the pensioners flats, the said Shannon Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·2821d. in the pound on the rateable value (being the unimproved rateable value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Shannon; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1961, £20,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Vincent County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Vincent County Council under the Rural Housing Act 1939 for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the said Act, the said Vincent County Council hereby resolves to make a special rate of 0·0913d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the special rating area, comprising the whole of the County of Vincent; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Vincent County Council held on the 26th day of October 1961 and confirmed at a meeting of the Council held on the 23rd day of November 1961.
