purposes of redeeming at maturity that portion of the first
and second issues of the Works Loan 1956 of £125,000,
maturing on 20 December 1961, the said Clutha County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
hundred and five thousandths of a penny (0·105d.) in pound
upon rateable value of all rateable property of the whole
of the County of Clutha; and that the special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being varying periods
of 5 and 10, and 12 years for different portions of the loan,
or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy
of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Clutha County
Council held on 31 October 1961.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Rangitikei County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works
Act 1928, to take the portions of land described in the
Schedule hereto for road. A plan of the portions of land
proposed to be taken is open for inspection at the office of
the Rangitikei County Council, High Street, Marton, during
40 days from the first publication of this notice.

In the matter of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control
Act 1941 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Marlborough Catchment
Board proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, for river
diversion purposes; and for the purposes of such public work
the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be
taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the
land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office
of the said Board, situate in Nelson Street, Blenheim, and is
open for inspection without fee, by all persons during ordinary
office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections
in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from
the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary at the
public office of the said Board.

in the matter of section 20 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1952.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Nelson City Council proposes,
under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to apply to
have the lands more particularly described in the Schedule
hereto, at present held by the Council for refuse disposal
purposes, to be set apart for housing purposes; and notice
is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so proposed
to be dealt with is hereby deposited in the public office of the
Town Clerk to the said Council, situated in Trafalgar Street,
Nelson and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons
