TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Public Notification of Motueka District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Motueka Borough Council made on the 13th day of June 1961, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the Borough of Motueka. The scheme has been deposited in the Borough Council Chambers, High Street, Motueka, and at the Public Library, Pah Street, Motueka, in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act, and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 16th day of October 1961. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.

Departure from Operative District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and its amendments and of the regulations made thereunder, that the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, by order dated the 7th day of November 1961, gave consent to a specified departure from the operative district scheme of the City of Nelson to the extent indicated hereunder:

By permitting the granting of a building permit to extend the factory premises of Messrs Holbrook Construction Ltd., at Maitland Avenue, Stoke, being Lots 2 and 3, Deposited Plan 3767, and Lot 10, Deposited Plan 4053, and being part of Section 45, District of Suburban South, Block IV, Waimea Survey District, to provide amenities for employees being the provisions of hot water, washing facilities, and separate meal room and change room in accordance with the plan attached to the application.

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to resolutions of the Stratford Borough Council, the under-mentioned variations to the district scheme relating to Stratford have been made.

1. By rezoning as follows:

(a) Zoning of block bounded by Romeo, Cordelia, and Orlando Streets and Warwick Road to be changed from “Rural” to “Heavy Industrial”.

(b) Zoning of Section 277, Broadway North, and area at north-eastern corner intersection of Page and Miranda Streets to be changed from “Residential” to “Light Industrial”.

(c) Zoning of part of racing club’s Pembroke Road frontage to be changed from “Private Recreation” to “Residential” with provision for two new streets.

2. Recreation Reserve—Provision for strips not exceeding 20 feet wide on both sides Patea River and Paetahi and Mangarangi Streams to be zoned “Recreation Reserve”.

3. Service Lane—Lane at rear section 356, Miranda Street, to be extended to southern boundary of section.

Full details of the above-mentioned variations to the district scheme are available for inspection at the Borough Council offices and also at the public library during normal opening hours. All citizens are urged to avail themselves of their right to inspect. Under the Act, every owner and every occupier of property affected by these further variations to the scheme has the right to object. Certain organisations, societies, and sporting bodies listed in section 24 of the Act also have a right of objection on the grounds of public interest as well as on other grounds.

Objections to any of the above variations to the scheme shall be in writing in the form E in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 and shall be lodged at the offices of the Council at any time not later than 4 p.m. on the second day of March 1962.
