Whenuapai Aerodrome

In the matter of the Public Works Amendment Act 1956
and in the matter of the Whenuapai Aerodrome in the
North Auckland Land District.

THE Minister of Works, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers vested in him by section 8 of the Public Works
Amendment Act 1956, hereby gives notice that, for the
purpose of making the Whenuapai Aerodrome safe for aviation
purposes, he limits the erection, placing, or extension,
without the consent of the Minister in Charge of Civil
Aviation, of any building, pole, mast, or other structure of
any kind, or the growing of trees or shrubs of any kind, on
the land described in the First Schedule hereto to the respective levels defined in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 11 acres 1 rood 9 perches
situated in Block X, Waitemata Survey District, Auckland
R.D., and being part Lot 15 of a subdivision of Allotment
24, Parish of Waipareira. All certificate of title, Volume 1019,
folio 288, Auckland Land Registry (limited as to parcels).

SECOND SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
No building, pole, mast, or other structure, and no trees or
shrubs shall be permitted to reach such a height as to penetrate
above either the approach surface or the transitional surfaces
as shown on the plan marked M.O.W. 4070 deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
The datum for all levels on the said plan is mean sea level.
The approach surface commences at a distance of 200 ft
south-east of the threshold at the 31 end of the 13/31 runway
at a reduced level of 84·00 ft above mean sea level. Thence
it rises in a south-easterly direction at a gradient of 1 in 40
as shown on the plan by aerial contours at 5 ft vertical
intervals. The centre of the base of the said approach surface
is marked on the ground by a reference bolt, No. 314, set
in an 18-in.-square concrete block. The reduced level of the
said bolt is 74·24 ft.
Coordinates of the bolt in terms of Mount Eden Trig.
Station as origin are:
47046·68 links north.
57950·54 links west.
The bolt number 314, and the reduced level 74·24 ft, are
stamped on a brass plate set in the concrete block.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for
plantation purposes over the land described in the Schedule
hereto.

PART Allotment 20, District of Tamaki, shown on D.P. 15987,
situated in Block X, Rangitoto Survey District: Area, 13·8
perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 349,
folio 75.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Reserves

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby revokes the reservation for road purposes
over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

LOTs 28 and 29, D.P. 8248, being part Section 73, Hutt District,
situated in Block X, Belmont Survey District: Area, 2 roods

Change of the Purpose of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described
in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for lighthouse purposes
to a reserve for the preservation of flora and fauna.

SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Southland Land District containing by
admeasurement 600 acres, more or less, being that group
of islands known as "The Snares", situated in the South Pacific
Ocean in approximate latitude 48° 2' south and longitude
166° 33' east, as shown on the plan marked L. and S. 22/398A
deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands
and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Dedication of a Road Reserve as a Road
