PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

ALL that piece of road containing 1 acre 1 rood 0ยท3 perches situated in Block IX, Geraldine Survey District, Canterbury R.D., adjoining or passing through Rural Section 16584, Reserve 1065, and Lot 2, D.P. 6314, being part Rural Section 11059; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 3978 (S.O. 9726) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Pursuant to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the district valuation rolls for the districts enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be revised by the Valuer-General as at 1 November 1961.

Boroughs: Mount Albert, Opotiki, Picton, Rotorua, Tuakau. Cities: Timaru, Wanganui. Counties: Hawera, Hokianga, Kowai, Manawatu, Matakaoa, Taieri, Waiapu, Waipukurau. Town Districts: Kawakawa, Kohukohu, Normanby, Rawene.

Varying an Order in Council Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 439 (5) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies an Order in Council made on 18 January 1961 and published in Gazette on 26 January 1961, No. 7, page 153, and affecting the Maori freehold land known as Kaipiha 10E 1 Block by making the said reservation one for the common use and benefit of all the Maori people and their descendants resident in the Pirongia and Ngutunui Districts.

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the common use of the owners thereof.
