SCHEDULE
THE following new paragraph is added to the end of the
Schedule thereto:
(5) Cape Horn Road Extension.
"Lines for two-way traffic from the turning-circle at the
intersection of Dominion Road with Richardson Road, and
proceeding thence in a southerly direction generally along
Dominion Road Extension to its intersection with Hillsborough
Road, and thence in a south-westerly direction generally along
Hillsborough Road to a turning-circle at its intersection with
Cape Horn Road, the aforesaid lines being more particularly
delineated by means of red lines on the plan marked N.Z.E.D.
576 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity
Department in Wellington."

At the Government House at Wellington this 20th day of

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1953,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order.
ORDER
-
As on and from the 1st day of October 1961 the areas
described in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from
the County of Horowhenua and included in the Borough of
Otaki. -
The alteration of the boundaries of the said county and
the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have
been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
SCHEDULE
AREAS EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF HOROWHENUA AND
INCLUDED IN BOROUGH OF OTAKI
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing
33 acres and 19.9 perches, more or less, and bounded by a
line commencing at a point in line with the eastern boundary
of Lot 1, D.P. 6893, in Block VIII, Waitohu Survey District,
and being a point on the boundary of the Borough of Otaki
as described in Gazette, 1958, page 607; thence southerly to
and along the eastern boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid to the
northern boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 6595; thence easterly generally
along that boundary and the north-western and south-
western boundaries of Pahianui A.3 to the western side of
Aotaki Road, being a point on the boundary of the Borough
of Otaki described as aforesaid; thence northerly and westerly
generally along that boundary to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Wellington Land District containing
210 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing
at the intersection of the left bank of the Ngae Stream
and the north-western side of the North Island Main Trunk
Railway, being a point on the boundary of the Borough of
Otaki as described in Gazette, 1958, page 607; thence north-
easterly along that side of the said railway to a point in line
with the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 16560; thence
south-easterly generally to and along that boundary, crossing
the said railway and county road, and along the north-eastern
boundaries of Lots 1 and 5, D.P. 16560, Lot 52 and part Lot
48, D.P. 1429, part Lot 1, D.P. 14806, Lots 47, 46, and
45, D.P. 1429, to the western side of Awahohonu Road,
and along that side of the said road and the northern side
of Rahui Road to the southernmost corner of Lot 6, D.P.
584; thence northerly generally along the eastern boundaries
of Lot 6 and part Lot 7, D.P. 584, Lots 11 and 4, D.P. 19052,
and the northern boundary of the said Lot 4 to a point in
line with the eastern boundaries of Lots 27 and 22, D.P. 1429;
thence again northerly to and along those boundaries to the
southern side of Waitohu Road; thence westerly along the
southern side of that road to No. 1 State Highway, by a
right line across the said highway to the southern boundary
of part Lot 2, D.P. 7971, and along the southern boundary
of part Lot 2, D.P. 7971, to the eastern side of the North
Island Main Trunk Railway; thence southerly along that side
of the said railway to a point in line with the south-
eastern boundary of the land shown on D.P. 11972; thence
westerly by a right line across the said railway to and along
the said south-eastern boundary to the north-eastern boundary
of part Pareomatangae Block; thence north-westerly along
the north-eastern boundary of the said block and Haruatai
2B and 2A to the eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 9569, being
a point on the boundary of the Borough of Otaki, described
as aforesaid; thence south-easterly generally along that
boundary to the point of commencement.
