RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES

Redemption Loans
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loans scheduled below, authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying portions of loans maturing during 1961–62, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies the special rates shown in the Schedule below, on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such loans and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate made, pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loans, being the periods shown in the Schedule below, or until the loans are paid off.”

No. 1, £15,000: Rate 0·131d.: Term, 20 years.
No. 2, £72,000: Rate 0·631d.: Term, 20 years.
No. 3, £103,000: Rate 0·903d.: Term, 20 years.
No. 4, £11,000: Rate 0·085d.: Term, 25 years.

RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Electrical Reticulation Loan 1958, £20,000—Second Issue of £10,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of paying the annual charges on a loan of £10,000, being the second issue of the Electrical Reticulation Loan 1958 of £20,000, authorised to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council under the above Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Council’s district, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal four pence in the pound (·4d.) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Rangiora; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is paid off.”

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Napier City Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to change from a main drain to that of street, the purpose for which the land described in the Schedule hereto was taken under the said Act.
All persons affected by the proposal should set forth in writing any objection to the proposed change of purpose and send the written objection to the Napier City Council at its offices in Tennyson Street, Napier, within 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

ALL that piece of land adjoining portion of Hyderabad Road containing twenty-one and eight one-hundredths of a perch (21·08 p.), more or less, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 10418, being part of Section 27, Block IV, Heretaunga Survey District, part Ahuriri Lagoon, and being part of the land in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 200, folio 79.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR PURPOSE OF SOIL CONSERVATION AND RIVER CONTROL

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments and in the matter of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and its amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Manawatu Catchment Board intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, that parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of soil conservation and river control. The plan of the said land is deposited at the public office of the Manawatu Catchment Board, Ruahine Street, Palmerston North, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary, Manawatu Catchment Board, 541 Ruahine Street, Palmerston North.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
—
In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act 1924, the Public Works Act 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, in connection with street widening at Taranaki Street in the City of Wellington, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the said City, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington containing by admeasurement eight tenths of a perch (00·80p), more or less, being part of Section 108, City of Wellington, and being also the balance of the land in certificate of title, Volume 43, folio 162, Wellington Registry.
