NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, dated the 15th day of June 1961, confirming the reduction of the share capital of the above-named company from £10,000 to £5,000 and the minute approved by the Court showing, with respect to the capital of the company as altered, the several particulars required by the above mentioned Act, was registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 18th day of August 1961. The said minute is in the words and figures following:

“That the capital of Franklin Bakeries Ltd. is £5,000 divided into 10,000 fully paid up 10s. shares.”

KAWAKAWA TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Loan 1961, £42,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kawakawa Town Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of forty-two thousand pounds (£42,000) authorised to be raised by the Kawakawa Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of financing the providing of a sewerage reticulation and sewage treatment scheme for the Kawakawa Town District, the Kawakawa Town Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifteen pence farthing (15¼d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Town District of Kawakawa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the town district of Kawakawa was hereunto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Kawakawa Town Council in the presence of:

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £102,817 authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of acquiring the new gas plant erected by the Crown in Molesworth Street, New Plymouth, together with all ancillary plant and land and all other matters and cost incidental thereto (which said loan shall be known as the Gas Plant Loan 1961, £102,817), the said New Plymouth City Council hereby makes a special rate of seventeen over sixty-four parts of a penny ¹⁷/₆₄d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on the 21st day of August 1961.
