Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles
John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zea-
land, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule
hereto as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
SECTION 42, Block X, Tararua Survey District: Area, 155 acres
2 roods, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 100,
folio 45. As shown on plan No. 86/6 deposited in the Head
Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plan 24619.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 17th day of August 1961.

Adding Land to the Tongariro National Park

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 16th day of
August 1961
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares
that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall as from
the date hereof be added to and form part of the Tongariro
National Park, and shall hereafter be managed, administered,
and dealt with by the Tongariro National Park Board in
accordance with the provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
LOT 1, D.P. 22586, being part Urewera 1c 4, 1c 5, and 1c 6,
situated in Blocks XIII and XIV, Ruapehu Survey District,
and Block I, Karioi Survey District: Area, 1,232 acres, more
or less. Certificate of title, Volume 936, folio 93. Also the
bed and waters of the Mangawhero River adjoining Lot 1
aforesaid.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land
described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer
required for the public work for which it was taken.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land directed to be sold:

Both being portions of Opatito Block, and being portions of

thereon coloured orange and deposited in the office of the

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Rangitoto Rabbit
District Order 1961.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
date of its notification in the Gazette. - The boundaries of the Rangitoto Rabbit District, which
was constituted by Order in Council on the 8th day of May
1922, are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the
commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said dis-
trict shall be those specified in the Shedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE RANGITOTO RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, County of
Rangitikei, containing 97,700 acres, more or less, bounded by a
line commencing at a point in the middle of the Rangitikei
River on the middle line of the Greatford-Ashhurst road
(Kakariki Road); thence north-westerly generally along the
middle of that road, the Horopito-Bulls road (Cliff Road), the
Crofton Road, the Makirikiri Road, the Neumann’s Road, the
Turakina-Cliff road (Bonny Glen Road), and the Hamilton-
Woodville via New Plymouth State Highway No. 3 to the
middle of the Turakina River; thence south-westerly generally
down the middle of that river to its mouth; thence south-
easterly generally along the sea coast to the middle of the
mouth of the Rangitikei River; thence north-easterly generally
up the middle of that river to the point of commencement.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby declares the Palmerston
Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on
the 27th day of October 1954,* and the Stoneburn Rabbit
District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the
lst day of September 1954†, to be united and to form one
district having the name of the Palmerston Rabbit District,
the boundaries of which shall be those specified in the Schedule
hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE PALMERSTON RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Counties of Waitaki,
Waihemo, and Wakouaiti and Borough of Palmerston contain-
ing 89,200 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing
at the westernmost corner of Section 1, Block X, Dunback
Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly along the north-
western boundary of that Section 1 and its production to the
middle of Macraes Road; thence south-easterly along the
middle of that road to a point in line with the north-western
boundary of , Block XI, Dunback Survey District;
thence north-easterly to and along that boundary and south-
easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Block XI afore-
said to the southernmost corner of Section 4, Block III,
Dunback Survey District; thence north-easterly along the
south-eastern boundaries of Sections 4, 3, and 2, Block III
aforesaid, to the easternmost corner of that last-mentioned
section; thence north-westerly, easterly, and south-easterly along
the south-western, northern, and north-eastern boundaries of
Section 9, Block Il, Dunback Survey District, and the produc-
tion of the last-mentioned boundary to the southern side of
McDonald Road; thence generally southerly along the southern
and eastern sides of that road to the south-western boundary
