Revoking a Proclamation Taking Land for the Purposes of a Gravel Pit in Block III, Greenvale Survey District, Clutha County

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 12th day of May 1959 and published in Gazette, 14 May 1959, No. 27, page 610, and deposited in the Land Registry Office, Dunedin, as No. 7582, taking land for the purposes of a gravel pit and vesting the said land in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Tuapeka.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 17th day of August 1961.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1958, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that, as from the 1st day of September, 1961, the lands described in the Schedules hereto shall be deemed to be vested in Her Majesty as Crown land subject to the provisions of the Land Act 1948.


FIRST SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—TOWN OF CROMARTY
Streets to be Closed and Vested in Her Majesty.

THOSE portions of Ward Street adjoining Sections 1 to 6, Block IV, containing 1 acre and 26 perches, more or less, and Broom Street, Gala Street, and Moray Terrace adjoining Sections 1, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block III, Sections 1 to 10, 22 to 25, Block II, and Sections 1 to 5, Block I, containing 6 acres and 31 perches, more or less, all being Town of Cromarty, situated in Blocks IV and VI, Preservation Survey District. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/300/25E deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon coloured green (S.O. Plan 6819.)

If at any time before the 1st day of November 1966 the registered proprietor, or licensee, or any other person having any estate or interest in any land to which this Proclamation relates, produces satisfactory evidence of his title or interest thereto, he shall be entitled to claim compensation for his interest therein as provided by subsection (4) of section 15 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1958.
