Street Closed in the Borough of Waitara and Added to an Endowment
COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the street described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby closed and added to the endowment described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
Street Closed
ALL those pieces of street situated in the Borough of Waitara, Taranaki R.D., described as follows:

0 0 5·8 Lot 7, D.P. 8441, being part Sections 3 and 5, Block LXVI, Town of Waitara West.
0 1 1·5 Lot 7, D.P. 8441, being part Sections 7 and 9, Block LXVI, Town of Waitara West.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 3303 (S.O. 9218) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
SECOND SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Borough of Waitara containing by admeasurement 4 acres and 4·3 perches, more or less, being Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, D.P. 8441, and being Sections 7, 9, and 10, and part Sections 3, 5, 6, and 8, Block LXVI, Sections 11 and 12, and part Sections 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block LXVII, and part Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, Block LXVIII, and part Blocks CXX and CXXII, Town of Waitara West. All certificate of title, Volume 250, folio 55, Taranaki Land Registry.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 26th day of July 1961.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, that road being no longer required.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of Government road containing 1 acre 2 roods 2·5 perches situated in Block XVI, Purua Survey District, Auckland R.D., and adjoining or passing through Tauranga-Kotuku, Taukata No. 1 and 2, and Wharewera Blocks, Customary Native Land, and Lot 13, D.P. 13347, being part Kioraroa Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 160858 (S.O. 31863) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being provisional State forest reserve set apart by Proclamation dated the 24th day of October 1923, and published in Gazette, 1 November 1923, Volume III, page 2739, is required for settlement purposes; and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land and shall become Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
SECTIONS 22 and 23, Block III Kaitieke Survey District: Area, 297 acres and 24 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 17112.)

Amending a Proclamation Declaring Land in Southland Land District Vested in the Southland Education Board as a Site for a Public School to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby amend the Proclamation dated the 20th day of February 1961 and published in Gazette, 2 March 1961, No. 17, page 357, proclaiming a site for a public school to be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, by deleting the Third Schedule in the said Proclamation and substituting in lieu thereof the following Schedule:

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT
Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 5784, being part Section 233, Block XIII, Forest Hill Hundred: Area, 2 acres 1 rood 24·2 perches, more or less, part of the land in certificates of title, Volume 43, folio 221, and Volume 100, folio 184.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
O R D E R
-
On and from the 1st day of April 1962 the areas described in the Schedule hereto are hereby constituted a united urban fire district by the name of the Tauranga United Urban Fire District.
-
The number of members to be elected to represent the Councils of the Boroughs of Tauranga and Mount Maunganui and the County of Tauranga on the Board of the District hereby constituted shall be three, who shall be elected in the following manner:
(a) One member by resolution of the Tauranga Borough Council;
(b) One member by resolution of the Mount Maunganui Borough Council;
(c) One member by resolution of the Tauranga County Council.
- The constitution of the Tauranga United Urban Fire District shall be deemed to have been effected under the Fire Services Act 1949.
