Leasehold Estates in Land Taken for the Purposes of the
Wanganui Metropolitan Motorway in the City of Wanganui

COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the
land described in the First Schedule hereto, held by Charles
Maurice Ward, of Wanganui, nurseryman, under and by virtue
of memorandum of lease No. 24960, Wellington Land Registry,
and the leasehold estate in the land described in the Second
Schedule hereto, held by Thomas Gurney Philpot, of Auckland,
settler, under and by virtue of memorandum of lease
No. 24922, Wellington Land Registry, and the leasehold estate
in the land described in the Third Schedule hereto, held by
Irenia Margaret Olsen, of Wanganui, married woman, under
and by virtue of memorandum of lease No. 25636, Wellington
Land Registry, are hereby taken for the purposes of the
Wanganui Metropolitan Motorway.
FIRST SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 1 rood situated in the City
of Wanganui, Wellington R.D., and being Lot 37, Deeds Plan
249, being part Reserve "L" of the Wanganui Town Belt. All
certificate of title, Volume 477, folio 287, Wellington Land
Registry (limited as to parcels).
SECOND SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 1 rood 0·8 perches situated
in the City of Wanganui, Wellington R.D., and being Lot 41,
Deeds Plan 249, being part Reserve "L" of the Wanganui
Town Belt. All certificate of title, Volume 477, folio 291,
Wellington Land Registry (limited as to parcels).
THIRD SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 39·8 perches situated in
the City of Wanganui, Wellington R.D., and being Lot 40,
Deeds Plan 249, being part Reserve "L" of the Wanganui
Town Belt. All certificate of title, Volume 477, folio 290, Wellington Land Registry (limited as to parcels).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 14th day of July 1961.

COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a motorway; and I also
declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after
the 7th day of August 1961.
SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 2 roods 5·2 perches situated
in the Borough of Green Island, being part Section 39, Block
V, Lower Kaikorai Survey District. All certificate of title,
Volume 301, folio 2, Otago Land Registry.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the
land described in the Schedule hereto, held by William Allan
Crosbie and Norman Clifford Crosbie, both of Tokanui,
farmers, as tenants in common in equal shares, under and by
virtue of lease in perpetuity, register book, Volume 51, folio
232 (Southland Registry), is hereby taken for the purposes of
a road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the 7th day of August 1961.

SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 2 acres 1 rood 14·6 perches
situated in Block V, Otara Survey District, and being part
Section 1; as the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked M.O.W. 1494 (S.O. 6479) deposited in the office
of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
orange.

First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road and that the
land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for better utilisation; and I also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the 7th day of August 1961.

All those pieces of land situated in the Town of Oraka described as follows:

0 0 0·02 Part Section 45.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked M.O.W. 3302 (S.O. 6439) deposited in the office of the
Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Town of Oraka, being part Section 46; as the same is more

General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as street the land

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 1·04 perches situated in the
City of New Plymouth, Taranaki R.D., being part Lot 8, D.P.
4531, being part Section 3, Fitzroy District; as the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W.
3294 (S.O. 9239) deposited in the office of the Minister of
Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
