Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that that land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for river protection purposes,
subject to the storm water and surface water drainage rights
created by memorandum of transfer No. 447310, Wellington
Land Registry, and shall vest in the Hutt River Board as from
the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 7th day of
August 1961.
