BOROUGH OF TE PUKE

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Te Puke Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by the Te Puke Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for making extensions to the War Memorial Hall, the said Te Puke Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Te Puke Borough, comprising the whole of the borough; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of December and the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

KAIRANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pou Poa Water Supply Loan (£5,000) 1960

PURSUANT to section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kairanga County Council has resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Kairanga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the reticulation of water, the said Kairanga County Council hereby makes a special rate of one decimal six nine four three pence (1·6943d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Pou Poa Water Supply District, comprising part of the Fitzherbert Riding of the County of Kairanga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAUMARUNUI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridges Loan 1959, £30,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taumarunui County Council, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Taumarunui County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of the bridge replacement programme, hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought two five two one (·002521) of a pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all rateable property in the County of Taumarunui; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above-mentioned resolution was passed by the Taumarunui County Council at a meeting held on the 21st day of December 1960.

OTAGO CENTRAL ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Extensions Loan 1961, £65,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otago Central Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of sixty-five thousand pounds (£65,000) authorised to be raised by the Otago Central Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of additions to plant, equipment, and construction works for generation and reticulation in the Board’s area, provision of business and working premises, the said Otago Central Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one seventh (¹/₇) of a penny in the pound on the capital value of the rateable property in the whole of the Board’s district of supply; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half yearly on the 1st days of April and October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WANGANUI-RANGITIKEI ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and repayment charges and all other expenses on the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board’s Reticulation Loan 1961, £150,000, to be raised pursuant to the above-mentioned authority, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of two twenty-ninths of a penny (²/₂₉d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all the rateable property in the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the aforesaid loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, but not exceeding a period of 20 years.”

WAITAKI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Tokarahi Water Supply Loan 1961, £27,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-seven thousand pounds (£27,000) authorised to be raised by the Waitaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply for the Tokarahi Water Supply District, the said Waitaki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ·69 pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the special rating area comprising the Tokarahi Water Supply District; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the portions of land described in the First Schedule hereto for road and to stop the portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto. A plan of the portions of land proposed to be taken and of the portions of road proposed to be stopped is open for public inspection at the office of the Raglan County Council, Waingaro Road, Ngaruawahia, during 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the office of the Council on or before the 23rd day of August 1961.
