NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 269 (1), that, at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company held on the 29th day of June 1961, the following extraordinary resolution was passed by the company, namely:
“Resolved as an extraordinary resolution, pursuant to section 268 (1) (c) of the Companies Act 1955, that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up, and that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily.”
Notice is also given that at a meeting of creditors held on the 30th day of June 1961, pursuant to section 284, the creditors appointed Mr. W. J. Daniel, public accountant, Auckland, as liquidator.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 11th day of July 1961, presented to the said Court by Farrier-Waimak Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at 140 King Street, Christchurch; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Christchurch on the 26th day of July 1961 at 10 a.m.; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE is hereby given by the undersigned persons, being not less than 25 adult members of the religious denomination known as the Roman Catholic Church, acting under section 59 of the above-entitled Act and with the sanction of the Minister of Health, that the land described in the Schedule hereto is dedicated and open as a burial ground to be used only for the burial of the members of the said denomination.

Plan 3380; thence south-easterly along that south-western boundary for a distance of 300 links; thence south-westerly at right angles to the south-western boundary of Section 26 aforesaid for a distance of 334 links; thence north-westerly parallel to the south-western boundary of Section 26 aforesaid for a distance of 300 links; thence north-easterly at right angles to the last-mentioned line to the point of commencement. PUBLIC NOTICE FOR PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN

NOTICE is hereby given that the Havelock North Borough Council proposes, at its meeting to be held on the 20th day of July 1961, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £5,000 for the purpose of sewerage extensions in the Middle/Te Aute Road and Franklin Terrace areas.
The security for such loan shall be a special rate of 0·132d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Havelock North.
Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Havelock North Borough Council not later than the day preceding the said meeting.

Water Supply Redemption Loan (No. 1) 1961 of £44,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £44,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying the amount outstanding on the Water Supply Extension Loan 1956 (No. 1) of £50,000, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0253083d. (pence) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the following special rating area, comprising the whole of the Middleton Riding of the county, along Yaldhurst Road to Russley Road; thence north along Russley Road to Memorial Avenue, east along Memorial Avenue to the eastern boundary of the Russley Golf Course; thence north along the eastern boundary of the Russley Golf Course to Wairakei Road; thence east along Wairakei Road to Breens Road, north along Breens Road to Gardiners Road, along Gardiners Road to its junction with Claridges Road; thence east along Claridges Road to Highsted Road, along Highsted Road to a point in line with an extension of Craddocks Road; thence east along this line to the junction of Craddocks and Cavendish Roads, along Cavendish Road to Styx Mill Road; thence east along Styx Mill Road to its junction with the Main North Road, from this point continuing in an easterly direction to Farquhars Road, along Farquhars Road to Grimseys Road; thence along Grimseys Road to Winters Road, along Winters Road to the city boundary; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Te Puke Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £160,000 authorised to be raised by the Te Puke Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for installing a new water supply scheme, the said Te Puke Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 3·94d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Te Puke Borough, comprising the whole of the borough; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 28th day of February and the 28th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
