FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956, and in the matter

of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Featherston County Council

proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,

to execute a certain public work, namely, the deviation of a

public road; and for the purposes of such public work the

land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken;

and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land

so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the

Clerk of the said Council, situate at Kitchener Street, Martin-

borough, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all

persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public

work or by the taking of such land who have any well

grounded objections to the execution of the said public work

or to the taking of the said land must state their objections

in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first

publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council

Chambers, Kitchener Stret, Martinborough.

APPROXIMATE area of land required: 1 acre 3 roods 36 perches.

Being portion of Turanganui Section 65c, Block IX, Haurangi

Survey District. Situated in the County of Featherston and

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR HOSPITAL PURPOSES

In the matter of the Hospitals Act 1957 and in the matter

of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitaki Hospital Board

proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,

to execute a certain public work, namely, the acquisition of

land for hospital purposes; and for the purposes of such

public work the parcels of land described in the Schedule

hereto are required to be taken for hospital purposes; and

notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so

required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the

Waitaki Hospital Board, situate in Thames Street, and is

open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordin-

ary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public

work or by the taking of such lands who have any well

grounded objections to the execution of the said public

work or to the taking of the said lands must state their

TAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL

CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL RATE

I hereby certify that the following special order was passed at

a special meeting of the Tawa Borough Council held on

31 May 1961 and, after being duly advertised, was confirmed

at the ordinary meeting of the Council held on 28 June 1961.

Resolved by way of special order as follows: “That the Tawa

Borough Council make and levy an annually recurring rate on

a uniform basis for the whole of the borough on all rateable

property within the borough of an amount calculated to

produce a sum greater than the annual charges payable in

respect of the loans secured by such special rates by an amount

equal to 10 per cent of those annual charges in respect of the

following special rates:

“(1) Bridges and Culverts Loan Special Rate.

“(2) Makara County Council Loan Special Rate.

“(3) Porirua Stream Improvements Loan Special Rate.

“(4) Reserves Loan Special Rate.

“(5) Sewerage and Water Loans Special Rate.

“(6) Sewerage and Water Redemption Loan Special Rate.”

IN THE MATTER OF THE CEMETERIES ACT 1908

NOTICE is hereby given by the undersigned persons, being not

less than 25 adult members of the religious denomination

known as the Roman Catholic Church, acting under section 59

of the above-entitled Act and with the sanction of the Minister

of Health, that the land described in the Schedule hereto is

dedicated and open as a burial ground to be used only for

the burial of the members of the said denomination.

A 9 No. 2B Block, bounded by a line commencing at a point

on the south-western boundary of Section 26, Block VI, Taka-

pau Survey District, 39·5 links from its south-western boundary

corner as defined on S.O. Plan 3380; thence south-easterly

along that south-western boundary for a distance of 300 links;

thence south-westerly at right angles to the south-western

boundary of Section 26 aforesaid for a distance of 334 links;

thence north-westerly parallel to the south-western boundary

of Section 26 aforesaid for a distance of 300 links; thence

north-easterly at right angles to the last-mentioned line to

the point of commencement. As shown on the plan marked

“A” deposited in the Head Office, Department of Health at

Wellington, and thereon edged red.
